Applied AI Engineer -Romania(Remote)

• Experience shipping and operating production software end to end.
• Proficiency in backend engineering with Python and/or Go, owning services through to deployment on Cloud Run.
• Proficiency in frontend engineering with TypeScript and React, building complete UI features.
• Experience deploying and operating on GCP, including IAM, secrets management, Cloud Run, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience integrating multiple third-party platforms production-ready, handling REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, event-driven patterns, failures, retries, and schema drift.
• Security best practices: no hardcoded credentials, use of secrets management tools (e.g., SOPS, Secret Manager), no PII in logs, strong application security hygiene.
• Active use of AI tooling (Claude Code or equivalent) in the full software development lifecycle, reviewing AI-generated output critically.

Nice to have:

• Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier).
• Experience with business process orchestration engines (e.g., Camunda, Temporal).
• Systems-level programming experience including async runtimes, IPC, process lifecycle.
• Knowledge of graph algorithms or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Cypher).
• Experience with Rust and Tauri for desktop app development.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform.
• Experience with LLM API integration, prompt design, and tool use.
• Familiarity with AI safety and compliance regarding data boundaries and regulatory awareness.

• Own internal tools end to end: from operational problem understanding through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Build across the stack: Python/Go services on Cloud Run, TypeScript/React web apps and admin tools, event-driven integrations on Pub/Sub, and cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Integrate with third-party SaaS platforms and cloud APIs using REST, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns, handling failures, retries, and schema drift.
• Build and maintain workflow automation and business process orchestration using named, observable BPMN flows.
• Use AI tooling (Claude Code) across development lifecycle for spec, coding, and review.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and type safety.
• Operate deployed services: monitoring, reliability, cost, and failure modes.
• Contribute to shared engineering standards, playbooks, and internal tooling.
