Wymagania

Essential:

  • Law degree (civil-law or common-law jurisdiction); LLM or strong international background is an advantage.
  • 12+ years relevant experience including in-house or law firm supporting regulated financial institutions, fintech, IT/software companies, brokerage or international corporate structures.
  • Proven experience managing legal teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on experience in technology/software agreements, IP ownership/licensing/protection, real estate/infrastructure, employment/contractor law, corporate governance, disputes/pre-litigation, cross-border coordination, and external counsel management.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills in English and experience with English-law style commercial contracts.
  • Fluent English.
  • Solid understanding of legal risk allocation including liability, warranties, indemnities, limitation of liability, confidentiality, data/security, termination, and dispute resolution.
  • Ability to translate legal risks into business options and practical decision-making.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in Cyprus Investment Firm, EU-regulated financial institution, fintech, brokerage, payment institution or technology company.
  • Knowledge of EU regulatory environment, GDPR, DORA/operational resilience and sanctions restrictions.
  • Experience with tied agents, subsidiaries, cross-border structures and KYC processes.
  • Experience implementing templates, playbooks, trackers, knowledge bases and legal tech/matter-management tools.
  • Experience managing external counsel budgets and deliverables.
  • Experience with IP/trademark portfolios and platform ownership structures.
  • Experience with HR-related legal matters across European jurisdictions.

Obowiązki

  • Provide legal support for subsidiaries, SPVs, tied agents and branches, including corporate approvals and authority documents.
  • Draft and negotiate lease and office-related agreements, managing related risks.
  • Manage technology and platform contracts including software development agreements, SaaS/on-premise licensing, MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
  • Oversee intellectual property and trademark portfolios, including dispute support.
  • Handle complex HR-related legal matters, disputes, and develop related templates and policies.
  • Manage disputes and protection matters such as pre-litigation, claims, asset protection, and external counsel.
  • Support corporate governance including resolutions, powers of attorney, and signing authority.
  • Develop and maintain department templates, playbooks and knowledge base.
  • Lead and develop the legal team, setting standards, priorities, and cooperative processes with Legal Operations.
