Middle/Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Itransition is hiring a Data Engineer skilled in the Databricks Lakehouse Platform to work closely with clients across various industries. The role involves designing and implementing scalable data solutions adapted to business needs and requirements, with direct client interaction.

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in consulting or client-facing environments
• Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python
• Experience designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments, preferably Azure
• Ability to quickly understand diverse business domains and adapt technical solutions
• Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in agile, fast-paced projects with shifting priorities

Nice to have:

• Experience with Snowflake
• Databricks or Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core, Databricks Certified Data Engineer)
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Previous experience in finance, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing sectors

• Interact with client stakeholders to gather data requirements and audit existing systems
• Architect scalable, future-proof data solutions
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade ELT/ETL pipelines using modern data stack tools
• Deploy and govern cloud-based data platforms on Azure and AWS
• Champion data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Produce clear technical documentation and lead knowledge transfer sessions
• Support project scoping, estimation, and reporting with delivery managers and consultants
