Senior Software Engineer (Java / Kotlin) - Operations Automation

At Allegro, this role is within a multi-product platform team responsible for critical infrastructure, low-code engines, and shared technical solutions used company-wide to build secure and auditable internal tools. • Strong expertise in backend engineering with Kotlin and Java on JVM.
• Experience with distributed systems, Kafka, queuing systems, and PostgreSQL.
• Openness to diverse technologies, including occasional collaboration on frontend (TypeScript, React) and AI assistant architectures (Python).
• Understanding of business criticality, emphasizing visual consistency, security, and auditability.
• Ability to work closely with internal customers for quick feedback and organizational impact.
• Interest in experimenting with AI Agents and LLMs to optimize operations.
• Pragmatic and analytical problem-solving approach focused on automation over manual tasks.
• Communication skills in English at B2 level or higher.

• Architect, develop, and scale core platform services, messaging components, and internal tools using a backend stack including Kotlin, Java, Spring, Kafka, queuing systems, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure/GCP, Kubernetes/Docker.
• Monitor, optimize, and investigate platform systems to maintain stability and meet SLAs.
• Participate in on-call duty rotation to ensure system availability.
• Provide technical foundations and abstraction layers for internal teams to build and deploy tools securely and consistently.
• Lead software development initiatives, mentor team members, and document software.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze needs and deliver features that automate repetitive manual work and accelerate development.
