QA Lead

CD PROJEKT RED is a company focused on creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs. This role is within the Cyberpunk 2 project.

• 5+ years leading or managing QA teams.
• 5+ years experience with performance management and career development.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, bug workflows, defect management, test planning, coverage, QA practices, and quality reporting.
• Experience with game engines and editors, preferably Unreal Engine.
• Understanding of game development lifecycles and testing strategies covering integration, stress, performance, stability, tools, engine, platform, and technical features.
• Experience with QA metrics, KPIs, and bug trends.
• Experience in performance analysis, profiling, crash analysis, memory investigations, platform-specific testing, or console development.
• Experience with Unreal insights, engine profiling, and crash debugging.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation, plans, reports, dashboards, and summaries.
• Experience improving QA workflows, reporting models, dashboards, technical metrics, and test management processes.
• Experience working with external QA vendors and distributed or cross-location teams.
• Strong ownership, accountability, emotional maturity, and ability to work under pressure and changing priorities.
• Alignment with RED values and ability to act as a role model in communication, decision-making, collaboration, and leadership.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on AAA titles.
• Experience with User Experience Research, focus groups, usability testing, and gathering player feedback.
• Experience with automation frameworks, automated test authorship, build verification, CI/CD pipelines, or technical validation workflows.
• Experience with performance, stability, tools, engine, platform, and technical feature validation.
• Interest in the Cyberpunk universe and passion for delivering high-quality player experiences in large-scale RPGs.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the gameplay QA team, fostering accountability and skill growth.
• Adapt and implement the Polaris QA strategy into practical testing approaches and measurable outcomes.
• Own testing execution and milestone verification to meet gameplay quality standards.
• Monitor gameplay quality metrics, KPIs, and bug trends to identify risks and build mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with development, production, and external QA vendors to coordinate dependencies and requests.
• Maintain clear, data-informed reporting on quality status, blockers, and project readiness.
• Drive continuous improvements in QA workflows, tools, testing frameworks, and documentation.
• Provide direct assistance with complex investigations, issue analysis, and debugging workflows when required.

Relocation to Poland is required for candidates residing abroad.
