AI & Lab Automation Engineer (f/m)

BSH SPRZĘT GOSPODARSTWA DOMOWEGO sp. z o.o. is recruiting for a position based in Łódź, focused on innovative solutions and modern technologies in verification through laboratory automation and AI applications.

• Higher education in a technical area such as software engineering, data science, robotics & automation, or similar.
• Proven experience in software development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Practical experience with data management and database technologies like SQL.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS, for data storage and model deployment.
• Strong and practical experience in developing AI / ML applications.
• Proven experience in integration and programming of data acquisition systems and laboratory automation hardware.
• Proven experience programming prototyping systems based on Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, or similar.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN) and PLC programming languages (e.g., Siemens, Fatek).
• Experience developing control systems for test rigs using sensors, actuators, and measurement data acquisition.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Development and application of innovative methods for virtual and data-driven product verification.
• Development and management of databases and data collection systems for storing and processing large volumes of test data, including advanced statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Identify opportunities to improve and speed up product verification using AI/ML data analytics of test results and log files for real-time test monitoring and anomaly detection.
• Create predictive models for product lifetime and performance test outcomes based on experimental data.
• Deploy AI/ML models into test environments, integrating them with existing testing infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility for AI/ML model training and analysis.
• Integration and configuration of laboratory equipment using control software and programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, C#, PLC programming.
• Implement computer vision solutions for automated test evaluation.
• Ensure reliability, safety, and maintainability of automated test systems.
• Development and programming of prototyping systems based on Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, and similar solutions.
• Propose innovative solutions to drive efficiency and improve test quality.
• Continuous research on advancements in laboratory automation, robotics, and applied AI to support Verification Department operations.
• Collaborate closely with verification engineers and laboratory technicians to translate experimental needs into automation and AI solutions.
