Engineering Uplift Lead

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The position is for a global Enterprise Integration Platform team within a major financial institution's Chief Technology Office, focusing on engineering excellence, reliability, automation, performance, and developer experience.

• 5+ years of experience in engineering uplift roles or business analysis for software engineering in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on engineering experience including software, platform, SRE, and automation.
• Proven track record of leading engineering improvement across multiple teams.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to leverage metrics and operational data for insights.
• Fluent in English; experience in Agile methodologies; excellent collaboration and documentation skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in developer experience improvements such as CI/CD, templates, and automation.
• Understanding of reliability practices including SLOs, observability, and toil reduction.
• Exposure to financial services compliance and risk management.

• Discover and prioritise engineering uplift opportunities across the platform using data, telemetry, and user feedback.
• Translate improvement needs into clear, outcome-driven initiatives (e.g., reduce incidents, improve deployment frequency).
• Guide engineering teams with best practices, technical standards, and architectural recommendations.
• Implement and drive adoption of consistent engineering standards (documentation, peer reviews, testing, release practices).
• Remove delivery blockers and optimize ways of working, including dependency management and governance.
• Define KPIs and dashboards to measure impact and influence decision-making with data.
• Coach and mentor engineers to build repeatable, sustainable capabilities.
