We are seeking an experienced OpenStack Cloud Engineer to join a team responsible for building, operating, and optimising the core services of a large-scale, sovereign cloud platform.
Wymagania
- Production experience with Open vSwitch (OVS) and OVN in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts and services: VPC, NAT, VPN, BGP, VXLAN, load balancing, and DNS.
- Deep understanding of the Linux networking stack, including network namespaces, iptables, tc, and relevant kernel subsystems.
- Experience integrating SDN solutions with OpenStack Neutron.
- Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++, Go, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and CNI plugins (for example, Calico).
- DPDK experience is a plus.
- Good command of English for technical collaboration and documentation.
Nice to have:
- Practical experience using AI tools to support day‑to‑day workflows.
Obowiązki
- Design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack-based cloud services with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Operate and optimise virtual networking using Open vSwitch (OVS) and OVN for production environments.
- Integrate and troubleshoot SDN solutions with OpenStack Neutron to meet platform networking requirements.
- Manage and tune Linux networking subsystems including namespaces, iptables, tc, and kernel networking features.
- Implement and manage cloud networking components: VPC, NAT, VPN, BGP, VXLAN, load balancing, and DNS.
- Automate routine and complex operational tasks using scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, or C/C++ where applicable).
- Collaborate with platform, security, and development teams to ensure design alignment and secure configurations.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues in production; participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing across the engineering organisation.
- Explore and apply performance optimisations, including working with DPDK where relevant.
