SAP MES Consultant

Professional Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Production Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience within the SAP ecosystem, ideally with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP ME, SAP PP, or SAP MII.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite (CIS).
• Understanding of manufacturing and shopfloor operations.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies including IDoc, OData, REST services, and APIs is advantageous.
• Programming experience in Java and JavaScript, especially in integration.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP, SQL, or system integration concepts is a plus.

SAP Digital Manufacturing Operations & Support:

• Ensure the stable operation and high availability of SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production environment issues.
• Monitor and maintain interfaces between SAP ERP/S/4HANA and SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to users and production staff on system matters.

Process Consulting:

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement business requirements in the SAP Digital Manufacturing environment.
• Prepare functional concepts and develop solution proposals.
• Support system rollouts and international implementations.

Interfaces & Integration:

• Manage integrations among SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP S/4HANA, MES, shopfloor data collection systems, and other shopfloor solutions.
• Analyze and resolve issues with IDoc, API, and communication.
• Support implementation of new integration scenarios and system interfaces.

Projects & Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects.
• Coordinate with external service providers and SAP consultants.
• Prepare and execute system tests, maintain documentation, and deliver user training.
• Support system releases, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.

Additional:

• Ensure availability, stability, and performance of SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Implement approved business requirements and process improvements.
• Coordinate and manage external support partners.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and internal policies.
