Senior QA Analyst

CD PROJEKT RED is a company focused on creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs with a mission to deeply engage gamers. The role is based in Warsaw and is part of the Cyberpunk 2 game project in the Cyberpunk franchise, indicating the gaming industry focus.

• 5+ years experience in QA or similar roles with 1-2 years in senior or leadership capacity.
• Proven experience developing and executing test plans and strategies for complex gameplay systems.
• Ability to identify and mitigate quality risks throughout development.
• Experience documenting tests and bugs with tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Strong understanding of gameplay systems and software interactions.
• Skilled in analyzing experiences and providing constructive feedback.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Attention to detail and clear problem-solving approaches.
• Familiarity with commercial game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity including editor testing.
• Passion for video games and narrative-driven RPG gameplay systems.

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting for QA.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience testing multiplayer game elements.

• Lead the planning and execution of complex test strategies and test plans for large-scale gameplay systems, features, and art implementation.
• Collaborate with developers and designers during feature development to provide early input on quality risks and mitigation strategies.
• Analyze and identify gaps in test coverage and improve test effectiveness using defect KPIs.
• Execute and document root cause analysis on escape issues or repeated defects.
• Contribute to planning and strategy of automation efforts.
• Work as embedded QA on Agile teams to develop and maintain clear test cases and checklists.
• Monitor ongoing game development to assess impact of changes and guide QA teams.
• Review, refine, develop, and own test documentation to maintain project standards.
• Serve as a bridge between QA and development teams ensuring quality goals are met.
• Prepare detailed reports and actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior QA Analysts and Specialists promoting QA best practices.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align QA objectives with production goals.
• Support QA and development teams in other project areas as needed.

• Relocation to Poland is required for candidates residing abroad.
