Senior Software Architect (.NET)

The client is a leading provider of vehicle lifecycle solutions headquartered in Chicago, connecting insurance companies, repair facilities, parts suppliers, and third-party data providers through advanced mobile, AI, and car technologies.

• Extensive professional experience in .NET application architecture and development with a strong C# foundation.
• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS using microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor to enhance team-wide productivity.
• Experience with security protocols including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect, and identity providers like Okta, Azure AD, and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of application security best practices such as secure APIs, rate limiting, secrets management, RBAC, and Managed Identities.
• Ability to produce and present architecture artifacts including diagrams, specifications, and solution blueprints.
• Solid understanding of data integration patterns and event-driven systems mainly on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Event Hubs, Service Bus, Kafka); AWS experience is also welcomed.

• Design and evolve cloud-native architectures across the full platform stack primarily on Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL).
• Define and deliver predictable, resource-oriented REST APIs emphasizing performance, security, and developer usability.
• Apply microservice and domain-driven design (DDD) approaches to decompose business domains into well-bounded services.
• Apply modern architectural patterns such as event-driven, CQRS, and serverless for scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Produce and present architecture artifacts (sequence diagrams, domain models, data flow diagrams, AI workflows, cloud blueprints) to both engineering and executive audiences.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud modernization, legacy-to-microservices migration, AI readiness, and platform performance.
• Embed security and compliance practices including identity management, access control, and encryption.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock) into core products.
• Champion AI and intelligent automation to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
