Backend Developer

The Rhino system consists of cloud software and IoT devices that read data from utility meters and sensors monitoring temperature, air humidity, CO2 concentration, and air quality. The solution targets owners and managers of large-scale buildings such as warehouses, shopping malls, offices, and production buildings. The Rhino Platform aggregates data, visualizes it on dashboards, analyzes it for anomaly detection and optimization, and provides data via API to external systems. It is a cloud-based microservices platform currently in development.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and implementing software applications using Java with Spring Boot/Spring
• Professional command of English (B2), both written and spoken
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

• Experience with TimeScaleDB
• Experience with Docker products
• Knowledge of React
• Knowledge of Wicket Framework
• Experience in AWS or other cloud platforms

• Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based software
• Develop project plans and estimates
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces
• Co-create software documentation
• Create programs and run tests and simulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features
