InSprint Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer- with German

Upvanta offers a role in an international project for a client from the insurance industry, working within an experienced Agile team with German-speaking stakeholders.

• Very good knowledge of German language (C1/C2) – mandatory
• English language proficiency minimum B2
• Minimum 3 years experience in software testing
• Minimum 2 years experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Practical knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
• Ability to analyze requirements and design test cases
• Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Xray or similar)
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Teamwork skills, independence, good work organization
• Accuracy, responsibility, and analytical approach to problem-solving

Nice to have:

• Experience in the insurance industry
• Knowledge of insurance processes related to policy servicing, claims handling, settlements, or contract management
• Experience with insurance systems (INSIS, Guidewire or similar)
• ISTQB Foundation certificate or higher
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Experience in API and integration testing
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks

• Analyze business requirements, User Stories, and acceptance criteria
• Design, execute and document test cases
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
• Verify compliance of delivered functionalities with business and technical requirements
• Report, analyze and monitor defects
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and Product Owners
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies
• Support User Stories acceptance process and Definition of Done
• Identify quality risks and propose improvements
• Participate in improving test processes and quality standards
