Application Engineer

• Strong commercial experience with Python development.
• Experience developing backend services using Java and/or .NET.
• Solid knowledge of REST API design and implementation.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry or application observability solutions.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on IIS.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and DevOps practices.
• Frontend development experience.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Python and related technologies.
• Develop and support backend services using Java and .NET.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL databases, queries, and data models.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Ansible.
• Implement and configure OpenTelemetry for end-to-end application observability.
• Instrument applications to collect and analyze telemetry data including logs, metrics, and traces.
• Integrate monitoring and observability solutions with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of web applications hosted on IIS.
• Ensure availability, scalability, performance, and security of applications and services.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application stack.
• Contribute to code quality, testing, version control, and deployment best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering standards.
