QA Manager

Experience & Leadership:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 8+ years in software QA including manual and automated testing of web and API applications
• Minimum 2 years managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or multi-team QA functions
• Experience in insurance or similarly regulated complex industries is a strong plus
• Proven track record establishing organization-wide QA processes, tooling, and standards
• Experience with executive-level reporting, translating quality metrics into insights and recommendations

Technical Depth:

• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and full testing lifecycle
• Experience implementing and scaling automated testing frameworks in agile environments, strong knowledge of BDD and Gherkin
• Hands-on familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow and integrating them with CI
• Proficient with defect tracking and test management tools, experienced in setting up QA processes and performance reviews
• Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing domains
• Practical experience building and deploying AI-powered processes across teams or workflows

Strategy, Process & Governance:

• Provide full oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects, defining and enforcing QA processes and standardizing tools, environments, and test coverage organization-wide
• Establish and continuously refine QA processes, procedures, and standards for testing products before market release
• Ensure scalable test infrastructure and extend testing into performance, security, and compliance domains
• Identify systemic quality gaps and cross-team risks, run trend analysis on quality metrics, anticipate release issues
• Evaluate and resolve organizational blockers in QA workflows balancing trade-offs and delivery timelines
• Deliver executive-level QA insights, reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to Head of QA and leadership

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior contributors, supporting career growth and technical leadership
• Distribute workloads, set goals, and conduct performance reviews across QA function
• Drive continuous performance improvement, resolve conflicts, support morale, and build ownership culture
• Advocate Agile testing and quality awareness at every product lifecycle stage

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Oversee QA engineers and Leads testing products and implementing automation
• Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape requirements and testing strategies
• Participate in reviews of software requirements, design, and architecture to ensure test coverage early
• Manage defect triage and maintain visibility over feature interactions across subsystems
• Continuously improve testing infrastructure and automated/regression frameworks for reliability and scalability
