QA Manager

CoverGo is a leading global no-code insurance platform for health, life, and P&C insurance. The company works with major insurance enterprise clients including AXA, Bupa, MSIG, Dai-ichi, and Bank of China Group Insurance. It has a diverse team of over 120 people from 30 nationalities working remotely worldwide and operates globally across Asia, EMEA, and the Americas. CoverGo is fully funded by reputable VC funds and strategic institutional investors and has experienced significant revenue growth since 2021.

Experience & Leadership:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software QA including manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
• Minimum 2+ years managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or multi-team QA functions.
• Experience in insurance or similarly regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Proven track record establishing QA processes and tooling across organizations.
• Comfortable with executive-level reporting of quality metrics.

Technical Depth:

• Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies and lifecycle.
• Experience implementing and scaling automated testing frameworks in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with BDD and Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow, or similar.
• Proficient with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Knowledgeable in performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Practical experience building AI-powered processes across teams or workflows.

Strategy, Process & Governance:

• Provide full oversight of the testing lifecycle across teams and projects.
• Define and enforce QA processes, standardize tools, environments, and test coverage.
• Establish and refine QA procedures and standards for product releases.
• Ensure scalable test infrastructure including performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Identify systemic quality gaps, run trend analysis on quality metrics, and anticipate release issues.
• Resolve organizational blockers in QA workflows balancing trade-offs with delivery timelines.
• Deliver executive-level QA reports and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior contributors.
• Distribute workloads, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive continuous performance improvement and build a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Advocate for Agile testing and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Oversee QA engineers and Leads testing products and implementing automation.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape testing strategies.
• Participate in software requirements and design reviews to ensure early testing coverage.
• Manage defect triage and maintain visibility over feature interactions across subsystems.
• Improve and refactor testing infrastructure and automated frameworks for reliability and scalability.
