QA Manager

Experience & Leadership:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software QA including manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
• At least 2+ years managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or multi-team QA functions.
• Experience in insurance or similarly regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to establish QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
• Experience with executive-level reporting translating quality metrics into insights.

Technical Depth:

• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and tools across the lifecycle.
• Experience implementing and scaling automated testing frameworks with strong knowledge of BDD and Gherkin.
• Hands-on familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow, and CI integration.
• Proficient with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Practical experience building and deploying AI-powered processes.

Strategy, Process & Governance:

• Oversee the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects.
• Define and enforce QA processes, standardize tools, environments, and test coverage across the organization.
• Continuously refine QA procedures and standards.
• Ensure scalable test infrastructure and extend testing capabilities to performance, security, and compliance domains.
• Identify quality gaps, run trend analysis, and anticipate release risks.
• Resolve organizational blockers in QA workflows balancing trade-offs and timelines.
• Deliver executive-level QA insights including reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior contributors.
• Distribute workload, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive continuous performance improvement and build a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Advocate for Agile testing and quality awareness across the product lifecycle.

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Oversee QA engineers and Leads in testing and automation efforts.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape requirements and testing strategies.
• Participate in reviews of software requirements, design, and system architecture.
• Manage and triage defects and maintain feature visibility across subsystems.
• Continuously improve testing infrastructure and automated/regression frameworks for reliability and scalability.
