QA Manager

Experience & Leadership:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software QA including manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
• Minimum 2 years managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or multi-team QA functions.
• Experience in insurance or similarly regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Proven track record establishing QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
• Comfortable with executive-level reporting and interpreting quality metrics.

Technical Depth:

• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and lifecycle.
• Experience scaling automated testing frameworks in agile environments with BDD and Gherkin.
• Hands-on familiarity with JavaScript and .NET testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, and Specflow.
• Proficient with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Experience in performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Practical experience implementing AI-powered process automation.

Strategy, Process & Governance:

• Provide full oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects.
• Define and enforce QA processes and standardize tools, environments, and test coverage organization-wide.
• Establish and continuously improve QA processes, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure scalable test infrastructure, extending testing into performance, security, and compliance domains.
• Identify systemic quality gaps and cross-team risks, perform trend analysis on quality metrics.
• Evaluate and resolve organizational blockers in QA workflows balancing trade-offs and delivery timelines.
• Deliver executive-level QA reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior engineers.
• Distribute workload, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive continuous performance evaluation and improvement.
• Advocate for Agile testing and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Oversee QA engineers and Leads implementing automation across teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business analysts on requirements and testing strategies.
• Participate in software requirement, design, and architecture reviews.
• Manage and triage reported defects.
• Continuously improve testing infrastructure and automated/regression frameworks.
