Senior Software Engineer

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in business-level English.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a polyglot mindset; ability to deliver in multiple languages and ecosystems.
• Experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot is desirable but not essential; candidates strong in other languages and motivated to learn Java are welcome.
• Strong grasp of functional, non-blocking, asynchronous programming and modern concurrency models.
• Experience with security software and secure engineering practices (desirable).
• Hands-on practical experience designing, building, and operating workloads in the cloud.
• Strong skills in selecting appropriate testing approaches including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of performance testing design, execution, and interpretation.
• Experience with API security at scale, including authentication, authorization, and threat mitigation.

• Design, develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Java.
• Review proposed solutions to ensure alignment with CTO Platforms objectives and standards.
• Champion high standards in software engineering, including code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Deliver appropriate, comprehensive automated testing as part of every change (unit, integration, and regression where applicable).
• Approach technical challenges with an open collaborative mindset.
• Take initiative to improve the developer experience and efficiency.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to less experienced colleagues.
