Lead Platform DevOps Engineer

CloudFerro S.A. develops a sovereign European cloud platform with a complete PaaS stack based on Kubernetes and open source, supporting clients including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, and others in Earth Observation and space sectors.

• Experienced DevOps engineer with practical experience operating production-scale Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux in production environments.
• Practical knowledge of Cluster API for cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience with CI/CD processes including integration tests and ephemeral environments.
• Good knowledge of Go or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code) as part of daily engineering work.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kubernetes upgrade paths: rolling upgrades, certificate rotation.
• Experience with Harbor and OpenBao.
• Knowledge of Kamaji, k3s, or vCluster as lightweight control planes.
• Multi-cluster management experience (e.g., Rancher, Gardener).
• CKA/CKS certification.
• Experience with bare metal Kubernetes (beyond managed hyperscaler services).
• Experience designing GitOps pipelines for multi-tenant platforms.
• Experience building custom Kubernetes operators.
• Experience in full release management from builds through integration tests to production deployment.

• Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle: provisioning, upgrading, scaling, and decommissioning.
• Implement and maintain tools and solutions supporting platform operations.
• Maintain and develop platform GitOps pipelines.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for builds and integration testing.
• Enforce deployment and rollback standards for the platform.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical platform incidents.
