Data Engineer

The Codest is an international tech software company with tech hubs in Poland delivering global IT solutions and projects. Their expertise centers on web development, cloud engineering, DevOps, and quality. The company has experience developing their own product, Yieldbird, recognized by the Deloitte Top25 awards. The contract subject is supporting projects within the Delivery Experience area for one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Europe, focusing on delivery time prediction, method selection using statistical algorithms and machine learning, and integration with carriers.

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in data engineering.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Proficiency in dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Solid experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL.
• Good programming skills in Python.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2+ level.

Nice to have:

• Logistics knowledge.
• Experience with LookML/Looker.

• Developing and maintaining processes for handling large volumes of data using tooling like BigQuery, Airflow, and dbt.
• Streamlining and developing data architecture powering analytical products.
• Collaborating with experienced data engineers and analysts.
• Driving adoption of AI in analytics.
• Developing tooling for monitoring and enhancing data quality and integrity.
• Managing and optimizing costs related to infrastructure and data processing.
