Senior Backend Developer

Devire Outsourcing IT is a B2B collaboration model dedicated to IT specialists, delivering projects for clients operating innovative and modern technological initiatives. The client is a leading international financial institution, one of the largest banks in Poland.

• Very good knowledge of Java 17+, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Experience in backend services and API development, especially REST and preferably gRPC
• Practical knowledge of databases, especially PostgreSQL
• Experience with system integration using message queues, particularly Apache Kafka and preferably RabbitMQ
• Ability to write unit, integration, and automated API tests
• Proficiency with testing tools and libraries such as JUnit, Mockito, REST Assured, Postman/Newman
• Experience testing API contracts with OpenAPI/Swagger
• Ability to validate JSON/XML schemas and test authentication/authorization mechanisms like OAuth2, JWT, Basic Auth
• Experience testing asynchronous and event-driven solutions including producer/consumer verification
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and integration of automated tests with pipelines like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Practical knowledge of version control systems especially Git
• Ability to work with container technologies, preferably Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
• Basic understanding of application monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Analytical thinking, problem diagnosis, and code quality maintenance

Nice to have:

• Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools
• Knowledge of consumer-driven contract testing
• Experience with microservices
• Familiarity with code quality analysis tools like SonarQube
• Experience with high availability systems or high message rates
• Knowledge of backend application security best practices
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

• Design, implementation, and development of backend services using Java/Spring Boot
• Creating and maintaining REST/gRPC APIs
• Integrating applications with databases, message queues, and event-driven platforms
• Writing unit, integration, and automated API tests
• Automating test scenarios using tools such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, JUnit, Mockito
• Designing tests for asynchronous communication including Kafka/RabbitMQ
• Integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines
• Analyzing application errors, logs, and metrics
• Collaborating with analysts, testers, DevOps, and other project team members
