Data Platform Engineering Manager

• 5+ years of experience in data platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical teams.
• Deep practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
• Strong familiarity with GCP data services such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer, GKE, IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines including GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Platform-as-a-product mindset focusing on customer enablement, reliability, governance, and security.
• Professional English language skills (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Open-source-first mindset when researching or building internal platform tools.
• Exposure to PySpark and open table formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake).
• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) and monitoring LLM-driven pipelines.

• Lead and coach a team of 2-3 platform engineers.
• Drive agile delivery and manage OKRs within the Data Platform Engineering team.
• Design reliable Terraform/Terragrunt modules on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Champion data security controls including Dataplex and DLP.
• Establish standard, self-service developer tools to empower downstream data teams.
