OT Security Advisor

The Cybersecurity team at Toyota Digital Hub plays a strategic role in protecting Toyota’s manufacturing, engineering, and operational environments across Europe. The team focuses on safeguarding critical industrial operations, supporting secure transformations of plants, facilities, and connected operational assets, and enabling secure innovation across IT and OT environments.

• Experience in OT security, industrial cybersecurity, or critical infrastructure protection
• Experience working with technical and operational stakeholders in complex environments
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, SCADA, PLCs, and OT communication protocols
• Understanding of OT network security, segmentation, remote access, and monitoring
• Experience with vulnerability assessment, security monitoring, and risk reduction in OT environments
• Familiarity with frameworks and regulations such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIS2
• Understanding of OT integration with enterprise IT and cloud platforms
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Strong working relationships and stakeholder influence skills
• Collaborative mindset with interest in coaching and continuous learning
• Pragmatic problem-solving balancing security, operational continuity, and business needs

Additional (advantageous):

• Familiarity with OT incident response, tabletop exercises, and crisis management
• Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial operational constraints
• Experience with OT security tools, asset visibility, or monitoring technologies
• Optional certifications: GICSP, CISSP, ISA/IEC 62443, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

• Conduct OT risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and define mitigation strategies for industrial environments
• Support design and implementation of secure OT architectures, including segmentation, remote access controls, monitoring, and defence-in-depth
• Develop and improve OT-focused incident response and crisis management capabilities
• Ensure alignment with frameworks and regulations such as IEC 62443, NIS2, and ISO 27001
• Support deployment and use of OT security technologies like IDS/IPS, monitoring platforms, endpoint protection, and asset visibility solutions
• Act as a trusted OT security partner for plant, engineering, and operational stakeholders
• Translate technical risks into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences
• Promote OT security awareness and best practices across teams
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to strengthen OT security standards
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of OT security maturity
