Full Stack Engineer (Java, React)

Nortal is developing a rewards system platform encouraging local shopping. Users collect points visiting selected partner businesses and redeem them for discounts or benefits. The solution supports growth of the regional economy and builds lasting customer-company relationships.

• Degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of professional full stack development experience with Front-End emphasis
• Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native (Expo is a plus), Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, PostgreSQL, SQL, and REST APIs with microservice architectures
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ integration, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and basic DevOps principles
• Commitment to clean, secure, and maintainable code
• Excellent English communication skills
• Team player with analytical thinking and proactive mindset

Nice to have:

• Experience with Elasticsearch (especially data aggregation)
• Understanding of security principles for Docker and Kubernetes

• Develop, maintain, and evolve the platform across all layers: mobile apps (React Native/Expo), web frontend (TypeScript), backend services (Java/Spring Boot), and partner portals (CMS)
• Design, implement, and test new features end to end
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of backend systems and database queries
• Extend and improve automated test processes
• Continuously optimize code quality, development processes, and system performance
• Maintain and extend technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with teammates and contribute to shared technical knowledge
