Systems Administrator (Linux/Unix)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent)
• Six months of Unix/Linux system administration or containers experience preferred
• Scripting knowledge/experience in Python
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform preferred
• Knowledge of configuration management tools: Chef, Ansible, terraform
• Basic understanding of ITIL v4 processes including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management
• Good knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Good understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate activities across cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
• Ability to adopt processes, project management techniques, and best practices

• Support critical applications and ensure the stability of services through maintenance activities
• Engage in automation activities, root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation
• Participate in production support processes including incident, change, and problem management
• Infrastructure operations and production support of container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker UCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling, and management of containerized applications
• Contribute to automation and self-service patterns like templates, scripts, and Infrastructure as Code modules for GenAI workloads
• Use tools in the Kubernetes ecosystem such as helm, kubeadm, Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD
• Work with configuration management tools including Chef, Ansible, terraform
• Convert manual and maintenance functions into fully orchestrated automation using scripting
• Partner with Platform, Engineering, and Delivery Teams for seamless infrastructure support
• Handle security remediation processes such as vulnerability assessment and patch management
• Contribute to standardized and documented operational procedures
• Adhere to ITIL practices including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management
• Be scheduled On-Call to support infrastructure and systems
