Software Engineer

• Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience or relevant internships.
• Basic knowledge of Java, algorithms, and data structures.
• Interest in Docker, Kubernetes, and related frameworks.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

• Design code and systems influencing Visa's standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions.
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value-added service technology, and new business flows in agile squads.
• Develop robust and scalable products for merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build next-generation Payment Services and Transaction Platforms.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Gain experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful services.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio for containerization, orchestration, and service mesh.
• Provide knowledge on development of technical documentation following best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Develop code complying with secure coding guidelines and Visa Key Controls.
