Senior Cloud Engineer

Ework Group is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to work in a Scrum team enabling cloud infrastructure for data and metadata handling and microscopy image analysis.

• Educational background in Computer Science, Software Development, or Engineering.
• Knowledge about IT cloud infrastructure (servers, network, databases, security).
• Understanding and experience with major cloud computing services such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud; good understanding of at least one.
• Comfortable with basic scripting and software development.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Azure DevOps, and GitHub is an advantage.
• Good communication skills to translate business requirements into functional IT requirements.
• IT security knowledge for managing access and permissions.
• Experience with commercial software solutions for histology and High-Content Screening data analysis is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with or understanding of agile ways of working.
• Strategic thinking for future-oriented decisions.
• Proactive approach and collaboration skills to engage with engineers, developers, architects, and scrum masters.
• Agile knowledge is an advantage.

• Infrastructure provisioning and troubleshooting in AWS, primarily using CI/CD pipelines and CDK/Terraform frameworks.
• Participate as part of an agile team designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
• Contribute to agile team user story and feature definitions.
• Share knowledge and collaborate within the team.
• Create and follow best practices of IT cloud engineering.
• Ensure and follow DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Facilitate stakeholder collaboration through workshops and other means to implement new solutions.
