Android Front End Developer

Toyota Digital HUB & SSC leads the end-to-end development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of Toyota’s connected services ecosystem across European markets. The work includes integration of vehicle connectivity platforms, mobile applications, and cloud-based services, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experience while collaborating with engineering, product, IT, legal, and external partners.

• More than 6 years of experience as a Senior Android Front End developer.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Android Jetpack (including Compose, ViewModel, LiveData, and Flow).
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior developers.
• Strong understanding of mobile app performance, optimization, and testing.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services.
• Experience consuming APIs in a microservices environment.
• Knowledge of networking protocols: HTTP, REST, JSON.
• Familiarity with API gateways and service-based architectures.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of connected vehicle ecosystems in the automotive industry.

• Development and enhancement of mobile applications on Android using Kotlin and Java.
• Build user-friendly, responsive UI using Jetpack Compose.
• Follow MVVM and MVI architecture patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance and deliver seamless user experience.
• Participate in architectural decisions to ensure code scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in mobile development.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and Agile ceremonies.
