Senior Go Engineer (Payment Gateway Solutions)

Colibrix One develops cutting-edge IT solutions for Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and neobanking platforms across the European Union and the UK. The company is a fully licensed Electronic Money Institution (FCA Reference No. 927920) and a principal member of both VISA and Mastercard. They build secure, scalable, and high-performance payment technologies including global card processing, digital wallet infrastructure, cross-border merchant accounts, alternative payment methods, and corporate accounts for legal entities.

• 3–5 years of experience developing backend systems in Go and around 5 years in fintech applications
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design including REST and RPC transports
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers (Kafka, NATS), and caching systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, preferably GitLab
• Experience with the AWS cloud platform
• Ability to collaborate and contribute expertise within the team
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical ideas
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Russian
• Security-by-design mindset and understanding of fintech regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR)
• Experience in performance optimization and building high-availability systems
• Experience with observability tools including logging, metrics, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience integrating with external payment providers, processors, or anti-fraud systems

• Design and develop Go-based services for the payment gateway focusing on stability, fault tolerance, and correct handling of financial operations
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications including API design, data models, and integrations
• Build solutions compliant with security requirements such as PCI DSS and secure inter-service communication
• Analyze and optimize service performance including code profiling, concurrency handling, and data storage/network efficiency
• Participate in microservices architecture including service boundaries, communication patterns, load balancing, and error handling
• Produce maintainable, testable code with appropriate unit and integration test coverage
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback aligned with technical requirements
• Contribute practical solutions within the current architecture and development processes
