Senior Java Developer

The client is building the future of banking as a leading Banking-as-a-Service provider in the UK, supported by innovative technology and a strong balance sheet. The teams work on payments, cards management, invoices, and credit products focused on the UK market. Most teams operate in Scrum with two-week sprints, supporting maintenance and development mainly on backend and some fullstack topics.

• Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Micronaut.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Excellent understanding of AWS deployment and configuration.
• Experience with message-driven architectures, Kafka, and event sourcing.
• Experience delivering within an agile environment.
• Experience working on highly secure application environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of translating business objectives into data-driven insights.

• Deliver as a member of the mission team to build and develop the technology product.
• Support and oversee junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert.
• Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well-tested and easy to maintain and extend.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to drive the direction of engineering and prioritize customer interests.
• Collaborate across the backend chapter to uphold standards, best practices, and promote innovation.
• Work collaboratively with the team to resolve technical issues.

The work mode is hybrid with one day in the Warsaw office every two weeks and remote work the remainder of the time.
