DevOps Engineer (worldwide remote, work anywhere)

CloudLinux is a global remote-first company specializing in Linux infrastructure and security products designed to increase operational efficiency. Imunify360, a product of CloudLinux, provides innovative security solutions for shared and VPS/Dedicated servers using a six-layer security approach.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language
• Experience designing backend services focusing on performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput data pipelines using Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar
• Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and in-memory databases such as Redis
• Strong understanding of relational, NoSQL, and in-memory key-value database paradigms
• Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose for development and production
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices including Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Excellent debugging skills and ability to investigate complex technical issues
• Analytical mindset for interpreting metrics and user feedback for data-driven decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Django
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Salt

• Design, build, and maintain the Patchman backend infrastructure
• Develop and maintain new product features, from design through implementation and testing
• Investigate and resolve complex customer-reported issues by analyzing the codebase
• Operate and maintain a large fleet of dedicated servers, including API gateways, load balancers, and internal processing nodes
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Monitor performance and reliability of production systems and identify improvement areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine architecture and contribute to technical direction
