Security Engineer - Node.js Proactive Defense (worldwide remote, work anywhere)

• Familiarity with the Node.js runtime and the JavaScript ecosystem.
• Strong web application security fundamentals and knowledge of practical exploitation.
• Understanding of detection rules behavior at scale to minimize false positives.
• Ability to act as PM, architect, lead engineer, and QA for the product.

Nice to have:

• Experience directing AI coding agents.
• Background in runtime-protection products, application firewalls, or instrumentation tooling.
• Experience in malware analysis or incident response.
• Knowledge of managed-hosting environments.
• Authored public security research, vulnerability disclosures, or detection rulesets.

• Define the product line including what to intercept and customer-visible surfaces.
• Choose instrumentation strategy, deployment shape, and programming language.
• Implement the product end to end using provided tooling including LLM subscriptions.
• Develop and validate detection logic methodology.
• Integrate cross-layer threat intelligence signals at scale.
