Firewall Architect (m/f)

HYDAC is a medium-sized family company founded in 1963, with more than 50 branches worldwide and 9,500 employees. It is a global player in the field of hydraulic systems, electronics, and fluid engineering. The position is at HYDAC Sp. z o.o. located in Mikołów.

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, or many years of proven professional experience in enterprise firewall environments.
• Strong professional experience in firewall and network technologies, ideally in complex international infrastructures.
• Knowledge of Next Generation Firewall and network security is desirable.
• Knowledge of common security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Know-how in WAN technologies such as SD-WAN, Load-Balancing, BGP, VPN, and Zero Trust.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to work in a team and good communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Strategic design, further development, and global implementation of enterprise-grade firewall architectures in line with business and security requirements.
• Development and implementation of firewall and network security policies and standards.
• Continuous monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of the firewall infrastructure.
• Leading and supporting incident response and troubleshooting of complex network issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure firewall systems meet business requirements.
• Technical coordination and governance of external and managed firewall services.
• Implement future-oriented concepts such as Zero Trust and next-generation network architectures.
