Senior DevOps Engineer

OneRail Poland Sp. z o.o. is hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and improve infrastructure and deployment processes supporting their platform. The company is located in Kraków, Poland, and offers a hybrid work model.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles with tools such as Crossplane, Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Experience administering Linux systems and troubleshooting infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
• Knowledge of databases including performance tuning, backups, upgrades, and operational support.
• Experience with distributed systems and platform services like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, VPCs, and service communication.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English and Polish at B2+ level, both written and spoken.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tooling.
• Build, manage, and improve Infrastructure as Code solutions with Crossplane, Terraform, and templating frameworks.
• Deploy, administer, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including workload management and autoscaling.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments for scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Support and optimize data platform services including Snowflake and databases.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and recovery procedures.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain platform services such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and other distributed systems.
• Build and enhance GitOps and continuous delivery workflows using ArgoCD.
• Administer Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and networking platforms.
• Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
• Manage cloud networking components including VPCs, peering, load balancing, DNS, service meshes, and network security.
• Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, and Operations teams on scalable platform solutions.
• Integrate internal and external systems through APIs, identity providers, monitoring, observability, and automation.
• Conduct infrastructure and code reviews, contribute to platform standards, and promote DevOps and SRE best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
• Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies to improve scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
