AI Engineer / Data Engineer (m/f/d) - Document Intelligence & SAP Integration - German Required

• Experience in Computer Vision & Document AI including OCR, Vision Large Language Models, image classification, and object detection.
• Knowledge in Generative AI such as Large Language Models, prompt engineering, information extraction, and structured output generation.
• Expertise in document processing: PDF analysis, scan processing, table extraction, layout analysis, and handwriting recognition.
• Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and Databricks for data engineering.
• Strong English language skills, ideally C1.
• Strong German language skills, at least B2.

Nice to have:

• Skills in MLOps, GDPR-compliant AI solutions, Microsoft Document Intelligence, Azure AI Vision, OpenCV, PySpark, Delta Lake, and SAP attribute models.

• Source Document Analysis: Analyze document and image repositories regarding document types, content, data quality, and layout variations, including handwritten content and technical drawings.
• Extraction Solution Design: Develop target architecture for OCR processing, Document Intelligence, Vision AI, Large Language Models, data validation rules, and quality assurance processes.
• AI Component Development: Develop and configure AI components for image and document analysis.
• Data Structuring: Transform extracted information into business-defined target objects, SAP-compliant structures, CSV/JSON formats, and SAP import formats.
• Quality Assurance: Implement completeness checks, plausibility checks, confidence scoring, and error classification.
• Pilot Implementation: Execute pilots based on defined document repositories, validating extraction quality, measuring recognition rates, and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Documentation: Create technical and operational documentation, architecture overviews, data model descriptions, and handover documentation.
