Senior AI Engineer (Python)

Scalo is a company operating with modern technological solutions, offering stable cooperation and projects involving AI application development and backend services in Python, focusing on production-level AI systems and integration with LLM platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Bedrock.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience building production backend services and APIs
• Experience developing and deploying LLM-based applications in production
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, structured responses, context management, and tool calling
• Experience integrating base models and LLM platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Bedrock
• Skills in API design, testing, deployment, observability, evaluation, and failure handling
• Experience with AI system security and reliability, including guardrails, fallback patterns, and output validation

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with LangChain, MCP, RAG, graph databases, NLP, Java, and Kotlin

• Designing, building, and maintaining AI applications and backend services in Python
• Creating backend services and APIs integrating large language models (LLM) with business processes
• Designing and implementing LLM-based workflows, including prompt design, context management, structured answers, and tool calling
• Defining robust API contracts and AI-generated outputs
• Testing, evaluating, and continuously improving AI services through automated tests, prompt iteration, and measurable methods
• Implementing safety and reliability mechanisms such as validation, guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and error handling
• Monitoring and enhancing production systems using logs, metrics, traces, and AI observability tools
• Improving systems through model updates, prompt iterations, and operational optimizations
• Working remotely with office visits in Kraków about twice a year
