DevOps Engineer (Disaster Recovery & Automation)

Upvanta is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer responsible for automating and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) environments for critical applications.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or infrastructure automation.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Terraform, and Azure Bicep.
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Good understanding of Azure networking, DNS, Network Security Groups (NSG), load balancers, and security.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
• Problem-solving skills and failure diagnosis.

Nice to have:

• Experience with large-scale corporate Microsoft environments and hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).

• Creating and maintaining automated Disaster Recovery deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure Bicep.
• Automating configuration, deployment, patching, and system management of Windows Server.
• Using PowerShell and PowerShell DSC to ensure consistent server configuration.
• Configuring and supporting Azure networking, DNS, security, and connections required for DR solutions.
• Collaborating with application and architecture teams to define and implement Disaster Recovery requirements.
