Mobile Software Engineer (Android)

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. operates in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, maintaining large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications with over 1000 microservices and a significant data infrastructure including a service mesh and machine learning production use.

• 3+ years of professional experience in native Android mobile application development using Kotlin.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development, asynchronous programming, and efficient data handling.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Good communication skills in English and Polish.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with a passion for creating excellent user experiences.

Nice to have:

• Experience with large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Android Jetpack Compose and Coroutine.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source projects or strong presence on GitHub.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for Allegro Android mobile applications ensuring quality, performance, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to implement innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Continuously improve development processes, tools, and infrastructure.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with latest mobile technologies and industry trends.
