Senior Distributed Systems Engineer / Tech Lead

RTB House is a global company providing state-of-the-art marketing technologies, including a proprietary ad-buying engine powered entirely by Deep Learning algorithms. Their Bidding Platform processes over 20 million requests per second for real-time auctions and advertisement display in 90+ countries.

• Excellent understanding of complex IT systems from hardware to software and algorithms.
• Very good knowledge of fundamental Internet protocols and technologies (DNS, HTTP, cookies).
• Good knowledge of concurrency programming and distributed systems from thread level to geo-distributed clusters.
• Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems.
• Ability to critically analyze solutions for performance and resolve production performance issues.
• General knowledge of high scalability and high availability issues and resolutions.
• C1 level proficiency in English and Polish.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the AdTech/Real Time Bidding domain.
• Experience contributing to Real User Monitoring (RUM) systems.

• Design and lead implementation of system changes for high performance, scalability, and observability of advertisement display and tracking globally.
• Develop tools and optimizations to improve critical user performance metrics.
• Implement, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain HTTP / gRPC services and batch jobs in Java and Python.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership including solving complex system challenges, project planning and scoping, and enforcing high coding standards via code reviews.
