Engineering Manager

ClickMeeting is a company based in Gdańsk with a global reach, providing a platform for webinars and online meetings used by millions worldwide. The product is available in 10 languages and hosted over one million online events in 2025 with millions of participants and hours spent. The team consists of about 80 employees.

• Experience as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Team Leader.
• Minimum 3 years of senior-level software development experience, with active coding.
• Knowledge of at least one modern frontend and one backend framework for TypeScript.
• Daily use of tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Writing tests (unit, integration, e2e) before production code, designing architecture through testing.
• Experience with WebSockets under high load and front-end performance optimization.
• Experience with distributed architecture and deploying services on Kubernetes (k8s).
• Practical experience with document databases (NoSQL).

Nice to have:

• Commercial knowledge of Go (Golang).
• Experience with WebRTC and HTML5 Canvas.
• Experience working with Trunk-Based Development (frequent integrations, no long-living branches).
• High efficiency in completing programming tasks.
• Knowledge of working effectively with legacy code.
• Ability to teach and verify appropriate task estimates by the team.
• Focus on iterative delivery of business value by the team.
• Excellent business orientation with proactive cooperation with business to propose solutions balancing business needs and IT realities.
• Highly developed leadership skills for competent evaluation, feedback, development support, and mentoring team members.
• Fluency in Polish (minimum C1) and good command of English (minimum B2).

• Collaborate closely with business to understand organizational goals and co-create product and technology roadmaps.
• Make key technology decisions for the team, including implementing AI-based solutions and supporting AI competency development.
• Support the team throughout the software development process as a mentor and partner to build best practices and technical skills.
• Ensure high quality of delivered solutions, including technical standards and security/privacy requirements.
• Foster a work environment based on engagement, responsibility, collaboration, and continuous development.
• Support the team in accurate task complexity estimation and planning development work.
• Shape debt management approach, supporting development and maintenance of legacy systems.
• Execute programming tasks from daily improvements to complex architectural and development challenges.
• Build effective collaboration with other teams, identifying shared responsibilities.
• Use tools such as Youtrack, Miro, GitLab, Grafana / Kibana / sentry, Claude, Slack, and ClickMeeting in daily work.
