Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

Oxylabs operates infrastructure processing 60PB+ monthly data traffic with 6PB+ Ceph storage, 300k+ service requests per second, and 500k+ Kafka messages per second.

• Experience building and operating highly available infrastructure at scale involving hundreds of servers and dozens of services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in self-hosted or bare-metal environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ownership and management of CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (e.g., GitLab CI).
• Experience participating in on-call rotations in production environments.
• Proactive communication and problem-solving skills.
• Scripting and development skills.

Nice to have:

• Leading major infrastructure migrations from planning to stabilization.
• Familiarity with Python and/or Go (backend in Python, edge services in Go).
• Experience with proxy and networking-heavy infrastructure.
• Previous experience in small teams with shared infrastructure responsibility.
• Familiarity with edge clusters or split compute/edge architectures.

• Own and evolve production infrastructure, migrating from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes (or hybrid Kubernetes + Ansible).
• Maintain high availability across hundreds of servers and around 50 services.
• Drive observability together with the development team.
• Establish and enforce IaC practices, CI/CD pipeline reliability, and change management processes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation alongside backend developers.
• Respond to and lead incident resolution, conduct post-mortems, and drive systematic remediation.
• Develop platform tooling to improve developer experience and reduce infrastructure toil.
• Keep backend engineers informed and ensure shared infrastructure ownership with no silos.
