Engineering Manager, Applied AI & Machine Learning Engineering

The company has over 650 engineers across 35 countries and focuses on building custom, enterprise-grade solutions and AI-driven platforms.

• M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in engineering or data science roles with a focus on machine learning.
• 3+ years in an engineering leadership role managing at least 5 people.
• 3+ years hands-on experience coding and delivering large-scale ML models and systems, including NLP.
• Extensive experience with Python and ML libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, keras, and PyTorch.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience owning ML services in large-scale distributed microservices architectures.
• Experience with data platforms and pipelines including Apache Kafka, Amazon SNS/SQS/Kinesis, Apache Airflow, Spark, AWS Glue, GCP Cloud Dataflow, Snowflake.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proven success delivering large technical initiatives with a metrics focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English language proficiency at Upper Intermediate or higher; fluent in Ukrainian.

• Lead machine learning engineering implementation, operations, processes, practices, and standards.
• Manage AI/ML roadmap deliverables ensuring on-time and quality completion.
• Remove roadblocks, implement process improvements, and provide actionable feedback to AI/ML teams.
• Maintain robust AI/ML engineering solutions and documentation.
• Communicate technical context effectively to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Promote continuous learning in NLP, AI, ML, MLOps, data engineering, and cloud ML services.
• Foster a culture of belonging, psychological safety, candor, cooperation, and fun within the team.
