Senior QA Specialist

Axence Sp. z o.o. Sp. j. develops software that improves and simplifies IT department work and educates on cybersecurity. They provide solutions for IT departments in Poland and worldwide, emphasizing agility and avoiding corporate bureaucracy.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in software testing.
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
• Experience in analyzing business and functional requirements and identifying related risks.
• Ability to design test scenarios and cases considering business risk.
• Experience in planning test scope and prioritizing test actions.
• Proficient in manual, exploratory, regression, acceptance, and non-functional testing.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL for analysis and verification of test data.
• Ability to diagnose and precisely report defects.
• Self-reliant with excellent work organization and decision-making skills.
• English language proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
• Experience testing desktop applications or native Windows applications.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience with database management tools (e.g., pgAdmin).
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyze, collect, and refine business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business analysts, and developers.
• Take end-to-end ownership of selected product areas or business domains.
• Design test scenarios and test cases considering risk and business impact.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, acceptance, and non-functional tests.
• Test APIs and verify data necessary for testing processes.
• Report, analyze, and verify reported defects.
• Manage defect lifecycle and support prioritization with business and Product Owners.
• Analyze impact of changes on existing functionalities and business processes.
• Estimate test scope and effort for new functionalities.
• Co-create test strategies for new functions and projects.
• Create test reports and recommendations on product quality and release readiness.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis after critical defects or production incidents.
• Propose and implement improvements to the testing process.
• Co-create test standards and quality definitions within the team.
• Support less experienced testers through consultations, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Support technical support team in analyzing and resolving customer reports.
