Senior AI Engineer

Sigmoidal is one of the first AI companies in Poland, founded 10 years ago in 2016. They started with experience from Silicon Valley and companies like Mozilla, BCG, and Jane Street. The team includes professionals with backgrounds from McKinsey, Google, PwC, Capgemini, and Kraken. They operate remote-first and build AI systems supporting asset management worth over 200 billion USD, working with clients in a consulting model requiring senior+ level competence.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer, AI Engineer, or related roles.
• Experience in building production AI applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Proven skills in designing and developing production solutions based on LLM, RAG, and AI agents.
• Practical experience with LangChain and LangGraph, understanding their application in language models and agent workflows.
• Ability to work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and data, understanding technical aspects and problem context.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, and translating user needs into technology.
• Proficiency in modern development tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
• Experience preparing applications for production deployment, including working with Docker and runtime environment configuration.
• English language skills sufficient for collaboration with teams from the US.
• Communicative proficiency in Polish for internal communication.

• Develop backend systems using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and develop AI agents utilizing LangGraph and LangChain.
• Build solutions based on RAG, tool calling, and integration with MCP.
• Integrate the system with LLM models and both internal and external data sources.
• Develop pipelines for processing and extracting data from unstructured sources.
• Work on system architecture ensuring code quality and production readiness.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technological solutions.
• Propose development directions and make technical decisions independently.
