Level Artist / Enviromental Artist

Digital Daredevils S.A. in cooperation with Toplitz Productions is looking for an experienced Level Artist / Enviromental Artist. You will join the project Vikings Dynasty, a continuation of the acclaimed Dynasty series. The job is on-site in the office located in Wrocław.

• Commercial experience as Environment Artist or Level Artist or participation in at least one released game in that role using Unreal Engine 5.
• Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
• Ability to build realistic environments following project artistic assumptions and Level Design.
• Good understanding of composition, scale, proportions, and scene readability.
• Understanding of guiding players by composition, lighting, and environment elements.
• Knowledge of environment optimization in Unreal Engine 5 (LOD, Nanite, HLOD, instancing, streaming).
• High attention to visual quality and detail.
• Ability to work independently and proactiveness.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in lighting within Unreal Engine 5.
• Ability to create and edit materials in Unreal Engine 5.
• Experience working on open-world games.
• Ability to create architectural and organic models.
• Experience with World Partition.
• Knowledge of PCG (Procedural Content Generation) in Unreal Engine 5.
• Basic knowledge of Blueprints.

• Build realistic environments according to the artistic guidelines and Level Design.
• Apply knowledge of composition, scale, proportion, and scene readability.
• Guide player experience using composition, lighting, and environmental elements.
• Optimize environments in Unreal Engine 5 using techniques like LOD, Nanite, HLOD, instancing, and streaming.
• Maintain high visual quality and attention to detail.
• Independently solve problems and proactively approach tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with designers and production teams.
