Senior Scala Engineer (Distributed Systems)

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing backend applications and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Scala and JVM ecosystem.
• Experience with Java, C#, or Go is a plus.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and REST API design and implementation.
• Experience designing databases: relational data models, normalization, and query performance optimization.
• Knowledge of concurrency, parallel programming, and designing scalable systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Akka/Pekko, Cats Effect, ZIO, or FS2.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.

• Design and develop backend applications using Scala.
• Build and enhance scalable distributed systems.
• Design and implement APIs and microservice architectures.
• Optimize application performance and resolve scaling issues.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and QA teams for designing and deploying new features.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality.
• Identify and implement best practices in architecture and software development.
