Software Engineer (Python and Data focus) - Life science (Oncology Platform)

Holisticon Connect is a division within NEXER GROUP, a custom software development company started in Poland in 2017 with a team of over 140 people. The team works with world-renowned brands from Scandinavia, the UK, and Western Europe, focusing on computational pathology and building internal tools for pathology data to flow from digital scanners into a regulated AI environment.

• Strong proficiency in Python with ability to write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Experience working with data pipelines, including tabular data, file-based pipelines, validation, and transformation.
• Familiarity with image or signal data processing tools such as OpenCV, scikit-image, or PIL.
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing technologies like Snowflake and DBT.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and packaging tools such as GitHub Actions and Docker.
• Ability to develop lightweight UI components in Python (NiceGIU, Streamlit, Gradio, or similar).
• Must have been located in Poland for at least 5 years.

• Develop and maintain Python code that is clean, testable, and well-documented.
• Work with data pipelines involving tabular, file-based data, with validation and transformation.
• Handle image or signal data using tools like OpenCV, scikit-image, PIL.
• Manage SQL and data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and DBT.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Docker.
• Create lightweight UI components in Python using libraries like NiceGIU, Streamlit, or Gradio.
• Collaborate closely with scientists and pathologists to design and maintain tools supporting research and AI development.

Data ingestion and metadata pipelines:

• Manage data ingestion and metadata pipelines for whole slide images.
• Implement de-identification and integrity checking of WSI files.
• Develop dataset splitting and stratification tools.
• Build lightweight review and management UIs.
• Ensure CI, packaging, and test coverage for the above components.

Candidate must have been located in Poland for at least 5 years.
