Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

HomeToGo is the marketplace with the world's largest selection of vacation rentals, listing millions of offers from thousands of trusted partners, including Booking.com, Vrbo and TripAdvisor. Founded in 2014, HomeToGo operates localized apps & websites in 25 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia-Pacific. It also operates brands such as Agriturismo.it, AMIVAC, Casamundo, CaseVacanza.it, e-domizil, EscapadaRural, Tripping.com and Wimdu.

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (ideally with PHP/Symfony)
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
• Fluency in English

• Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve the quality of our product
• Partner with Product to impact the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team and other engineering teams to understand business requirements and ensure timely feature delivery
• Work closely with architects to address technical challenges for scalability, reliability, and usability of Marketplace products
• Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features
• Participate in efforts to improve the product delivery process
