Senior QA Analyst

CD PROJEKT RED is dedicated to creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs and is currently working on Cyberpunk 2, the next game in the Cyberpunk franchise.

• 5+ years of experience in QA or similar roles, with 1-2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Experience creating and executing test plans and strategies for complex gameplay systems.
• Ability to identify and mitigate quality risks during development stages.
• Experience documenting test processes and bugs using tools like JIRA and TestRail.
• Strong understanding of gameplay systems and software interactions.
• Ability to analyze experiences and provide constructive feedback to development teams.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional communication skills.
• Detail-oriented problem-solving approach.
• Familiarity with commercial game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity and testing within their editors.
• Passion for video games and narrative-driven RPG gameplay systems.

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting for QA processes.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience testing multiplayer game elements.

• Lead the planning and execution of complex test strategies and test plans for large-scale gameplay systems, features, and art implementation.
• Collaborate with developers and designers during feature development, providing early input on potential quality risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Analyze and identify gaps in test coverage through defect KPIs, improving test effectiveness and adjusting test case coverage accordingly.
• Execute and document root cause analysis on escape issues or repeated defects.
• Contribute to the planning and strategy of automation efforts.
• Work as embedded QA on Agile teams to develop and maintain clear test cases and checklists.
• Monitor ongoing game development and assess the impact of changes, guiding QA teams to ensure continued coverage and consistency.
• Review, refine, develop, and own test documentation created by QA team members to maintain project standards.
• Serve as a bridge between QA and development teams to ensure quality goals are communicated and met.
• Prepare detailed reports and actionable insights on test outcomes for senior management and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior QA Analysts and Specialists.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to influence project decisions and align QA objectives.
• Gain knowledge of other project areas and support QA and development teams as needed.

• Work mode is hybrid/in-office in Warsaw; relocation to Poland is required for candidates residing abroad.
